Clan Blackstar

Default Rules and guidlelines for the Clan's vault

The Vault
One of the reasons we are part of a guild, is to help eachother. In a gaming environment, help can come in the form of game items. To facilitate the collection and distribution of these items, we have created the Vault. It used to consist of several bank alts of clan officers, but with the coming of Blizzard's guild bank system in patch 2.3, we decided to use the new, easy-to-use system.
About the Vault
All clan candidates and members can view the Vault's contents. You can access the Vault in any bank location (major cities and Goblin towns). Look for a special game object to interact with.

Our Vault currently has three tabs for a total of 288 slots. This is a lot less space than we had with all the bank alts, previously. However, since many items in the old system were rarely requested, we can make do with what we have now.
What to donate
Want to give something to the Vault so another clan member can use it? Thank you!

In general, we want to collect items that cannot be found in the game world very easily, and that can help out fellow clan members in a significant way. The Vault specifically accepts these items:

- Equipables (weapons, armor,...): all rare and epic items, uncommon items above level 57 that fit the main roles of the game (e.g. 'of the Bandit' is good, 'of the Whale' is bad)

- Consumables: medium and high level potions, oils, armor patches, etc.

- Patterns & books: all rare and epic patterns and books, uncommon recipes and books that are hard to find

- Crafting materials: medium and high level cooking ingredients, herbs, leather, ores, gems, cloths, dusts, essences and elemental loot, but no more than one stack each of items that are 'easily' found

- Others: bags, the new Darkmoon cards and other rare or very useful items are welcome

If you're not sure if your item is 'medium level' or 'rare' enough for the Vault, an officer can help you determine its value. Even ineligible items can be of use to someone. Your fellow clan members usually appreciate it when you ask on the guild channel if someone can use a certain item you don't need.
How to donate
You cannot deposit items into the Vault yourself. Give or send the items or money to one of the following officer characters, who will deposit them for you:
Thigrak
Zohrix

Make it clear that it's meant for the Vault. Items that cannot go into the Vault will be returned to you, or disenchanted or sold for the benefit of the clan (your choice).
Please notify the officer when you send a Vault donation by game mail, especially if you sent it to a rarely used character.
How to request
Clan members can request items from the vault. This can be done in game to any officer, or in this thread. State which item(s) you want for what character.

Requests from candidates are generally not approved until they are voted in as clansmen.
What to request
In principle it's up to you to decide which items you really need. The most important thing is that Vault items are put to good use and, if possible, will help the clan as a whole.

There's only one rule: you can only request items you yourself intend to (and can) use now or in the foreseeable future.
General rules & principles
- The Vault is meant for personal (and clan) improvement, not personal wealth. We recommend that any profit gained from items crafted using guild materials be donated to the clan. We trust that clan members will use the Vault system in the spirit for which it is intended.

- The officers endeavour to provide you with your requested items as soon as possible. If you need something urgently or for a specific occasion, giving us some advance notice helps.

- When the Vault nears its capacity, the officers will sell or disenchant items. Any money gained from this will be used for the benefit of the clan.

- The officers can deny item requests at any time.

- The Vault's there so we can all get better from it, individually and especially as a group. We can all help eachother, so use it!

- If you have any questions, the officers will be happy to answer them.
